I've read somewhere that linked domain is similar to outbound link. In that case, is it safe to say that the lower the linked domain, the better?

    Hi Dear,
It's not possible to say that a Domain Rating of 30 is good, or 50, or 60, or 70. It's all relative. Here's a general rule of thumb: Your Domain Rating (authority) is good if it's higher than or comparable to similar sites.

The question is not quite clear, but here is how the SEO science works. In order to maintain or indicate Google that you are credible you need link juice from other websites. Obviously, if you get a backlink from a website that has high DR and PA the better it is for you as it would tell Google that a website with decent score is indicating that other website is also credible and authentic. This is how the backlink science works.

Well, in theory that would be correct if Google cared about a website's DR or PA. They don't. Neither have anything to do with Google's algorithm. They are numbers that AHREFs invented as a guess about what Google's algorithm might be doing.

In technical terms, yes "lessor the outbound links", better it will be, because you are sharing link-juice to all of the sites you have linked to. The other side of picture is that, outbound links are given for the sake of references/citations or to validate your arguments. Giving references is a good thing, as it increases trust/authenticity for your readers.
What you could do is to make them "nofollow", then you won't have to worry about their increased quantity.

No, it would not be correct to say that.

Outbound links send juice out; inbound links, even if you have more than one from the same domain, do not.

Think of inbound links like shopping.

You going to a store once says you thought they might be ok.

You going to the same store a several times says you think they are good, better than your other options.

You going to the store dozens of times says You think it is the best.

It is just you voting, so only 1 vote, but the third option is far more convincing than the first.
