What free keyword research search engines are there which don't have search or time limits,?

Most limit how many searches you can do in just one sitting; basically, I'm seeking out a good SEO search tool to practice with.

Specifically, I want some longtail keywords that fit my blog and posts.

There are no legitimate free keyword tools that I know of that don't limit the number of results, other than Google. Google, however, only gives you ranges instead of actual numbers and the ranges are so wide, they are essentially meaningless unless you set up an AdWords account with a credit/debit card. Then, you'll get as close to exact numbers as you are going to get.

NOTE: from time to time, somebody will launch a new free keyword tool with no limits but soon thereafter, they start charging for the tool or placing restrictions on the number of results for their free version.

  By the way, I tried utiliizing the following directions to fin longtail keyword for free. They do not seem to work:
  
  Free Keyword Research Steps
  1. Keyword Sheeter
  Go to Keywordsheeter.com and type in your seed keyword. This tool basically scrapes Google Search bar and instantly comes back with hundreds of potential keywords to use.
  Google Keyword Planner
  2. Go to Google Keyword Planner. You will need to setup an Adwords account (got it). Once within Keyword Planner, copy and paste round 250 of the potential keywords from Keyword Sheeter. Make sure you select the United States prior to searching these keywords. Use the results to display the searches with a minimum of 100 monthly searches.
  3. Go to Ahrefs. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page where it says Free Tools and click on to the bottom of the page where it says Free SEO tools and click on Check Keyword Difficulty. If you are running a new blog, then you are going to want to get the results that come up with an Easy rating of 0-9.
  4. Start creating content for said keywords.

By the way, I used Google Planner's "Discover New Keywords" option, and found I could only search like ten keywords at a time. Not very desirable.

Actually most of the free keyword tools have limitation as they are online for making money but you can use them as a free following some tricks such as when as a free tool I use Ahref keyword planner that is good enough for searching again and again and I use SEMrush as a paid tool which is awesome.

  So how good is Ahrefs for practicing,, and how much would it cost to buy it monthly? I'd be willing to do that, if I needed to. Thing is, I'd just prefer if someone could Zoom call with me for an hour or so, walk me through the process of finding longtails.

You need to click on your username in the black toolbar at top of this page...and in the dropdown menu, click on 'view classic'. Then you can quote the person you are answering instead of multiple posts one after the other.

Of course it would be simpler for YOU - but who pays for that person's time?

That is not realistic unless you hire someone to train you and you don't need that level of instruction to find keywords.

YOU don't need multiple 'tools' - just one or two methods that you are comfortable with. You won't be comfortable with ANY tools until you have used them multiple times and checked the results.

Choose a topic (something you have or will have on your site) - find a couple of keyword 'tools' that make sense to you....identify a dozen or so keywords or longtail keywords and then go back into a search engine and search for those keywords and see if the RESULTS are what you expect to find.

Really? You can't look it up? The paid versions are more detailed/involved than the freebies - master the free tools first.

Okay, I went back to Keyword Sheeter and Keyword Planner, and would share the screenshots, but seem unable to . In any case, searched for Batman as a keyword topic, and am trying to long tail it with "Batman movie" or "DCEU Movie."
You're seen my gameplan dealing with the two listed above. Thoughts?

Hm. the "view classic" mode to quote others doesn't seem to work, nor can I insert screenshots.

In any case, I monkeyed around more with that "free version" formula I listed earlier.
The "free" formula said to use Ahrefs to find keywords listed 0-9; that, I now see, is harder than I imagined, which, I now see, is why the "Keyword Sheeter" was recommended, because otherwise you either get keywords far too hard to rank for or else words which do not rank at all.

Then, I tried the Google Keyword Planner and I'm not sure if I entered it in the right exact setting, but I think it was the was the "Keyword Ideas" one that I placed it. Hm. They only accept ten terms at the time, apparently, even as the formula implied that they took more, so I don't know. Any case, I goot a whole mess of terms. How to interpret the data aright?

I'll play around some more; sound like I'm on the right track?

  Hard to answer that without knowing what you're trying to achieve with all these keywords.
  
  You say your site is about Batman and/or the Batman movie? Is this a personal interest project or are you intending to earn from it? If so, how will you monetize it?
  
  As it stands, it looks to me like you risk falling down a keyword rabbit hole when you could be spending your time just creating relevant and entertaining content and letting the keywords take care of themselves.

Many search engine optimization tools have search limits though you can try tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, or Moz Keyword Explorer etc. These tools help you find words for your blog. Use them to make your content seen better and improve your SEO skills.

In my view, Ubersuggest's free plan is quite generous for basic keyword research. It is enough for solo business owners who are trying to DIY their website's SEO.
