Here is How to Find Targeted High PR Sites .edu .org .gov ...

OK, After creating my 3000th post thread I noticed that some Warriors
rely on others to find the High Ranking PR sites for them.

So, Let me see if I can give you a lite bulb moment by showing you one way to find
useful High Ranking PR sites in you own niche.

Let's say that you would like to find educational (.edu) sites to place backlinks on.

Here is how I do it. First I'll show you the search query I use and then I'll explain what
each part of it means and why they are needed.

My search query:
site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in" "internet marketing"

This is what I would type into the Google search box.
Now what does it all mean?

site:.edu tells G that I only want urls ending with .edu

Inurl:blog
tells G that I only want sites that have the word blog included
in the actual site url.

"post a comment" tells G to only return results that have post a
comment
in the listing.

-"comments closed" tells G to exclude any results that contain the
phrase comments closed. This weeds out the blogs that no longer allows
comments to be added.

-"you must be logged in"
tells G not to include results that require me to
be logged in in order to reply to a post. This is optional. If you don't mind
signing up and logging in prior to posting a comment them you can leave
this out of the query.

"internet marketing" tells G that I only want blogs related to internet
marketing.
This can be any subject that you choose. If your niche was
astrology then that is what you would put in the place of internet marketing.

TIP#1: If you use FireFox with the SEO4FireFox add on then you will see
which sites on the results page have high PR ratings. This will help you
narrow down the results to only the sites with high PR ratings.

TIP#2: You can change out the .edu in the query above and replace it
with any .com .org .net ... you choose!

I hope that helps some of you to find places where you can gain high PR
back links to your sites.

All I ask is that you use this info the right way and Please do not go out
and start spamming these sites with BS posts. Make them a long term link
by posting valuable info, questions and such. Think long term investment.

Have a Great Day!
Michael

This method has been known for a while, but hopefully this thread drifts below page 1 before all the spam marketers use this in the wrong way.

      Joe,
I never claimed this was a new method. Just because you knew about it
doesn't mean that everyone else does.

Please, The next time you have some thing to say try to make it constructive.
Your post was totally useless and from my stand point it appears to be for
the sole purpose of increasing your post count?

      Thanks,
      Have a Great Day!

Good post, Michael. It's the same thing I've been doing with the exception of the "you must be logged in" part, which I'll start using. Thanks. Still, I appreciated your list, saves a lot of plugging along.

nice! I was trying this today --trying to find student forums with marketplace. only found one! And it was for a spinal chord injury website... and I had a medical related website. It still might be perceived as spam though.

    Thanks for the share!

    Hi Karen,

Don't forget the minus sign : -"you must be logged in"
so that it excludes it from the results.

    Have a Great Day!

Is there a way to also search for dofollow blogs only?

    Cheers,

      Hi Michael,

      Thanks for the tips.
It's very useful for me since I just started and I can not afford to buy any tools now.
Many people try to sell these kind of links and you just post it how to find.

I love this, I started using this a couple months ago and when you search deep in there you can really pull some diamonds out and get some high PR .edu's without many external links. About twice a month I'll spend a couple hours doing this now to diversify my link building and I have to say it produces some great results.

Thanks Michael... I have been using something similar, but you have added a few variations that I have not thought of....

Google operators are great if you know what to search for!
