Slipping on the serps

Hi Guys,

My 4-5 month old site was on page 9-10 for weeks, i did crazy backlinking and a few weeks ago it jumped from page 9 to page 2, it's been steady on page 2 for the last few weeks or so, i have noticed it's slipping about 1 place every day, the sites that are on page 1 and 2 don't appear to be slipping any as far as i can see, should i just keep building backlinks?

also what is a reasonable amount of words to have on a page?

    Yea, it's crucial that you continue to build backlinks and your lack of doing such is most likely the culprit behind your SERP decrease.

    Just make sure you make it look natural...Don't build a ton of links at once and then none....keep it consistant! Just so you know, it'll keep boucing around, that's just Google
