Hi Guys

Can .TV Domain Names rank as well as .COM .CO.UK etc?

Anyone had any luck with rankings using a .TV?

Thanks

Yes, because search engine ranking doesn't have anything to with domain extension. It has to do with your inbound links, quality and quantity, and the relevance of your content to a particular search term.

Using a .tv domain could be confusing from a branding point-of-view though, which is something to keep in mind. People will probably be expecting a video site of some sort too.

Pretty much. One exception to this rule is that lower cost gTLDs, which are associated with spam, are usually a bit harder to rank with.
