Hello everyone. I have started a new blog with computer tutorials and help as the topic. As I am new to IM so I am again getting confused about all this link building. I have read many posts here and the more I read the more confused I get, so thought of asking you helpful people.

I have decided a strategy of doing link building for my blog. I will daily write a good post with unique content and will daily create backlinks for a week old post. This will create a kind of routine in which I which I write daily and create backlinks daily for my older posts.

Now the issue is how much backlinks should I create daily. I dont want to do anything wrong so that search engines penalize me but I also want to have good amount of backlinks. So please suggest what to do here.

I have few other questions also, on which I again have read good amount here but again all confused so asking.

1. Angela and Pauls backlinks focus on creating profiles on good PR sites. Is this ok as profile page themselves are zero PR.

2. Suppose I backlinks 2-3 posts of my blog from the same website using 2-3 different profiles respectively, with each having a backlink to a separate post, will search engine consider them as separate backlinks or will they penalize me for having multiple backlinks from same website and I should follow one backlink from one website strategy.

Please write your views. Thanks

Regards

    Hey mate,

Google does not penalize for any kind of backlinking. They have stated this on numerous occasions. Here is my tip. Build as many backlinks as you like (make sure they come from different sources) but before doing so, establish some kind of authority for your website. The best way to do that is getting some gov/edu links first. Get around 5-10 of them (just search google using something like site:.edu "powered by phpbb") and wait for them to be indexed by Google.

After that you should concentrate on getting backlinks from as many sources as you can. Profile backlinks are ok but you should look into other sources too. Submit your posts to social bookmarking sites, do some article promotion, set up web 2.0 properties and interlink between them, etc.

There is a lot of stuff you can do. Your best option is creating some "buffer sites", which will link back to your main site, than building a small link farm around them.

    Cheers, hope this helps.

I'd agree, you want to build a little authority before you blast the links out, then use some buffer sites as well. Like Hub/squidoo/ezine etc.

Or hire someone here to help speed up the process.
