Ok, I've built two sites in the past week and one of them as 3 out of 4 pages indexed on google and the other has both post indexed. They are indexed but not anywhere to be found in the first 3 pages

But, I asked this question before and didn't get a direct answer, is it good to build links to these sites through squidoo; blogger; and hub pages. Or, what's the best way to get them to the front page of google?

I've done on-page SEO; I have all in one seo pack installed and have put in all the corresponding info. I have ezine articles pointing to the sites.

Now what? Wait.....or build squidoos, etc? or......just looking for a little guidance. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to be building as many links as yo possibly can for them. First thing you need to realize just because they are indexed does not mean they are automatically going to end up in the front three pages of google. It all dpends entirely on your keywords. If your keywords are too competitive it may take you years to get to the top three pages of google. However if the allintitle: for the keyword has less then 10k you should beable to get to the front page fast.

I do not recommend trying to use blogger to build a ton of links. I did this last year some time and it cost me an entire google account. Google has cought on to people using bloggers pr to give good link juice back to their sites. So they now only allow about 6 links in total to one place on one blogger account. However if you can build a squeeze page out of many blogger blogs then you should beable to generate a good amount of link juice from them.

You just need to get out there and promote your site any and every way you can. The more seo links you build to your sites the better you are going to be.

    1. submit to live directories (especially dmoz)

    3. social bookmark your sites
    4. write some articles and submit them
    5. build up your backlinks with link trades and such

When you get all that done, then come back to me.

I have never gotten any site on dmoz I have tried with about 20 different sites over the past 2 years and not a single one of them ever made it on dmoz when I submitted it. Yes dmoz does give some really good link juice but it is not that important. I would much rather have a huge list of edu and gov links then worry about getting on dmoz.

Just getting your sites indexed is the easy part now do this search and look down 4 spots. allintitle:affiliate marketing online See how many people I am competting with as well and was able to obtain a great spot with minimal links for a site that does not even have the keyword in the url. Now this is something to get excited about really. You can also see where my site is for the board term as well. I was able to beat out cj.com for the term affiliate marketing online a very very powerful over populated market.

I think if you "aimed low" with the keyword competition, then writing articles at EZA could be the only thing you need.

If after a while it's not on the front page, then add some more.

You could go more complicated than that. But why?

        Depends on your budget.

Low budget means you need tons of content. Articles, videos, press releases, the works, just to get backlinks and traffic.

Higher budget means go straight into advanced SEO in my opinion. Get a ton of SEO projects done for you on sites like WF and backlinks forum.

I recommend backlinks hydra by Terry Kyle for this.

It is all about the keyword you are targeting. If you have built a relevant site for a keyword, did all of the on page seo, get the keyword in the domain, and get 10-30 backlinks with your keyword in the anchor text and you are not ranked in the first few pages within a few weeks then that means you are targeting a keyword that is not low competition.

If you don't have any experience ranking for low competition keywords then you should not be targeting anything but low competition keywords so you get a full understanding of what is needed to rank well.

How did you do your keyword research? What made you decide on the keywords you chose? Where they low competition? How long have your sites been indexed?

btw dmoz is a waste of time and I still argue a pr5 edu is the same as a pr5 .com if both are completely irrelevant to your site. If one is more relevant to your keyword then it will be better. I think people get excited with .gov and .edu because they have high pr in general. If I was Google and I gave backlinks from edu and gov site a lot of additional weight over normal sites then all I would accomplish is spam all over edu and gov sites. Google looks more at relevance.

Thanks for all the great comments! I did my keyword research in accordance with Wanda & Paula's Amazon course. The main keywords gets about 2400 local searches per month with very few viable competing sites. The secondary target keywords (there are 2 of them) get anywhere from 400-800 local searches per month and the same in competing sites.

I am on a low budge at this point so I guess just keep writing. Have tried contacting some "competitor" sites about guest blogging with negative response.

Guess it all just takes time, huh?

    Thanks again everyone!
