SEO for Wordpress blog

Hi all,

I have been taking time out of this industry for a while and am just getting back into it with a new project.

I am starting with a wordpress blog at Challenge Oxfordshire

I need to be brought up to speed on how to get new posts indexed in google and how to get them to rank well. If anyone can point me in the right direction or offer some uptodate advice I would be very grateful.

        Nowadays? The old methods of blog commenting and article marketing are still highly useful and possibly the best methods if done correctly.

        I'd suggest that a more recent and evolving backlink strategy is within Web 2.0 sites. there are so many backlinking strategies in Web 2.0 and they create more of a human presence to your website.

    You should make backlinks for your website from websites that are getting indexed fast by Google. Some article directories and social bookmarks are getting indexed fast and getting backlinks from them can help you a lot. Also as other members said, there are some useful wordpress plugins that help your website to be indexed faster. Like All-In-One SEO or xml sitemaps for wordpress.
