Opinions on niche site research & question about French word in EMD

I am considering a two word EMD and the second word is a French word. Being located in the USA and using the .org name what effect, if any, will there be if many of the visitors are searching from France? Full disclosure: the first word is a brand name -- your thoughts?

Global monthly searches: 1900 (exact)
CPC estimate: $4.66 (I know this is not realistic)
Google: allinurl = 469 allintitle = 346

Looking at this as a straight Adsense site. The product sells at Amazon but is only in the $20.00 range.

Your thoughts on the domain in general and the foreign word issue in particular are appreciated.

Register the domain and set up the site. Give it your best shot and add good quality relevant content. Set up Analytics tracking and Webmasters account for the site(geotarget USA and France).

If you are hosting the .org site in US, then it is relevant to US visitors. If you can set up content in French, do it under a sub-directory as in
    www.site.org/fr

Go to Webmasters and change the settings for the sub directory Fr to France. That should get you stats about visitors from France.

Keep building backlinks to the .org site from other US sites. For the FR sub directory, build backlinks from other .fr sites. This helps Google establish the target country from the backlink profile.

Wait for a while and from the stats you can analyze the trends. If it is showing some improvement in terms of traffic and Adsense earnings from the target countries of your choice, then go ahead with adding affiliate products and the works. Hope this helps.

To be honest, the exact search count looks the best. I would not choose a niche based entirely on allintitle and allinurl count.

If you have Traffic Travis, that is a free tool to analyze the competition of the top 10 or top 20 ranked sites on Google. You could get a better idea doing that.
