I'm ranking! Best way to quickly monetize a site with ads?

I put up a product review page late last night to add some filler to an authority site that I'm building. I wrote it primarily just for practice and didn't expect it to gain any traction at all but I awoke a few hours later to find it being linked to, commented on and ranking on the first page of google for a good keyword (not my actual site, but a social media page featuring my article). It seems like it could potentially pull some traffic, but I don't know what the next step is.

The product review itself was strictly for my amazon affiliate link, but now I'm thinking that people who are just scanning my page for info may not be interested in buying from amazon (my affiliate link is showing almost no clicks). Should I add Adsense ads or some other type of banner ad to capitalize on the eyeballs seeing my page?

Thanks.

if it's a decent paying adsense keyword, then yes - i wouldn't expect much in the way of CTR - but every click would be extra $$$. You could try a CPA offer as well (depending on the niche).

I would go with Adsense. Do it soon, they are a bit slow at saying Yes...

If they're just looking for information, is their any chance you could link out to a relevant CPA offer?

Would probably perform better from an eCPC perspective than AdSense depending on the niche, and definitely on a eCPM basis as you can actually encourage your visitors to visit the offer, unlike AdSense.

A social media page featuring article: that means the visitors are just curious, not interested.

If they do not click the amazon link: they are not interested.

You can put up Adsense, but it is probably the worst paying solution.

For traffic like that CPM ads are best (advertising.com for example).
