Indexed but not ranked

Hi,

I just launched my website a few weeks ago and it seems to be working out. I've generated a sitemap and my website has been indexed. However, I don't get any ranking whatsoever for some reason. The only time I find my website on google is when I type in the url.

I've been updating the website regularly and I have blog on the website where I post articles for my niche optimized for my keywords - but google doesn't pick these articles up. I would also send the articles to places like ezinearticles but the articles are not in english so I really don't know any more ways to do article marketing.

It shall be noted that it is a small niche and there is really two or three competitors that are going at it. So I would think that it would not be super extremely difficult to get ranked. But I can be mistaken...

But since it is a small niche I have a little bit of a problem posting backlinks. I've done a few forums but a part from that I really don't know what to do.

Any help or comment in this area is greatly appreciated.

    You just launched website. So you should wait for some weeks to get desire results. I want to say continue your seo work. It takes times to come in top ranking.

    Ok, so it's natural that it takes quite some time before google picks up the website? It's not a component that I'm missing or not doing?

    Maybe your site is still in the google sandbox, since your site is just launched a few weeks ago. I agree, continue doing seo, it really takes time to get ranked, and it also depends on your keywords if your keywords is too competitive.

        Can you elaborate a little more on this? I don't quite understand what you mean. A part from the last sentence

        So backlinks is the most effective tool you would say? Of course I will try and get as many backlinks as possible but since it is a small niche it's a bit difficult find places and forums to put the links unfortunately.

    To get ranked in the Google you also need to have good title for your content but you are doing right because your content get indexed means you have quality content for your website.

      I was afraid of this... Are there any good ways to get backlinks a part from doing posts on forums that relates to my niche?

      Because this niche is not in english so article marketing makes it a little more difficult.
