Hey Guys

Im ranking on page 1 for a keyword on google.com.

The keyword also has good uk local seraches so when i went to google.co.uk and typed in the keyword i was no way seen on the first 5 pages.

The domain is a .net, but there must be a way of ranking high in the .co.uk google too??

Any suggestions??

I am in the same boat, just the other way around

Hosting location plays quite a role...i have a *.com on UK servers and dominate UK. Playing with the thought to move my VPS to the states.

I think there is a high competition n Google.co.uk and I would suggest to keep up your optimization in the search engine. Different ways to improve your site depending on the location and the resources that they have.

    - web hosting in the uk
    - use a .co.uk domain
    - If you have webmaster tools set your address to a uk one
    - Set your domain whois info to a uk address
    - Include a uk address on your actual site
    - Try to get links from official city websites in the UK or even other local business sites that have UK google places listings.

Best way is to host your site in the UK and possibly get a new domain name (.co.uk) and create a simple 301 redirect from your original domain.

Another big factor is your backlinks, get a lost of backlinks from other .co.uk sites.

    Cheers,
    Dave
