hi,

i have a main finance site and currently set up 4 payday loans websites with the hope of seoing them all.

my questions is with the 4 payday loan websites being on the same domain selling the same and only product. will this get me peanilsed by google.

i dont want to do anything that could potentially be noticed even at a later stage.

i have bought the domains now so if it could get me penalised any ideas of what to do with the mwould be appreciated. e.g re direct in an ethical way

    Hi thekaver,

It really depends on a few factors that you did not mention in your post. Are you offering the payday loan services yourself? Or, are you linking to a third party website? If it is the latter, then you need to take care that you are not violating Google's policy against Doorway, or Bridge pages.

From a web users' perspective, a website is usually a a single domain or perhaps a subdomain. In your post you refer to "the 4 payday loan websites being on the same domain", which is it, 4 websites or just one?

The bottom line is that as long as those 4 websites have unique content, and offer something of value to users in that content, and don't violate any of Google's webmaster guidelines, you should be fine.

hi its 4 differnet website domains and 4 different websites.

but the on the same hosting package with same ip for that reason.

we dont offer the payday loan ourself but we use a lenders iframe application on each of the sites. so for the user experience its a different website.

as i said i want to get some good out fo these other domains weather it be a seperate website, redirect of some kind, ect without violating any of googles guidlines.

        Hi thekaver,

If the website content is primarily the same iframe application then Google will pass all of the link juice through to the vendors website and your pages may not ever rank.

If your pages serve no other purpose other than to get users to the iframe content then you may be in violation of the Bridge/Doorway page policies.

If your pages offer something of value to users, and the iframe content is merely the order form/shopping cart, then you will be okay if you are following all of Google's webmaster guidelines.

hi yes the iframe is just 2 lines of code and is simply just the application form on the apply page of my site. the 5 pages in total with content on.

the iframe just basically allows the customer to get a real time decision to there application.

it doesnt look set out like a door way site. see here Instant payday loans | Payday Loans

The iframe code is of course only 2 lines, but it generates much more than that.
            No matter.

You don't have 5 pages, some are nonexistent, like FAQ, News, how it works...

            That could affect something.

You also need to get some better images. You are stretching them and they
become fuzzy. Not a good user experience.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

The structure looks good. I was thinking of suggesting that you separate the iframe to a single page, but after viewing your site it appears it was handled that way.

Anyways, as with dburk's concern about Google webmaster guidelines pertaining to doorway pages of some sort, i was thinking it would be more appropriate to issue nofollow, noindex on the page where the iframe is embedded. This way, spiders would only care about your content pages.

As with the users, landing them directly on the iframe page by ranking it on a considerable competitively targeted keyword can lead to a non-productive setup. So, I am really thinking it's not necessary to index the page.

Moreover, If I am the user, I would prefer landing first on the product-talker-page and should I click on the apply form depends on how good the copy will be at persuading me. Thus, competitive and targeted keywords should land on your content pages.

Keep every content unique and everything is surely just fine.

I honestly have limited experience on this, but I was thinking it would be less harmful if you rank the sites on different keyword phrases. Ranking all 4 for the same keywords would mean you are putting a crowd on SERP, thus can be understood as a manipulative tactic by Search Engines, which might trigger unwanted penalties.

You could identify the top 4 major keywords around pay day and rank each of your site on each of them. This way, each site has a unique focus and contents optimized for, a lot greener.
