Image Pages on Wordpress?

On my Wordpress blog, every image that I have has its own page, so that when you click on the image, it takes you to that page, not simply to the image.

I have two questions about this:

1) Is this diluting my pagerank by giving it to these image pages?
2) How do I turn this feature off? I can't seem to find a solution.

    I can't answer the first question for you, but when you upload the image for the first time, scroll to the bottom and you'll see two options. One says something like attach to page id and the other to image or something similar. You want the one that says "image...."
