Try building 10 web 2.0 of orignial content about your niche and include pics and videos. Include 2 or 3 backlinks into that content. One or two to your main money site and one to an authoritiy website.

Then build a bunch of backlinks to those web2.0. I would say 50 social bm, 50 profile pages, and 50 comments. Those can be outsourced. You should start to see some backlinks indexed after that.

I would also focus on commenting directly on your site through revelant forums and blogs. Not only will these be good backlinks but also will give you some traffic.

Just keep your quality and quantity at same phase. You'll see result eventually, you cannot rush things anyways.

if you are not finding any back links for the site check URL what you have mentioned in the anchor text and get the back-link report on that link structure only

example if your anchor text has link with [htto://wwwdotxyzdotcom and if you are checking the back-link on htto://xyz.com you wont find it


Now about ranking

This may be due to keyword stuffing or off page work what you have been doing, make sure the back-links what your getting is not from the spam sites.

Check your keyword competition again and and do off page work on high PR dofollow sites, this may take some time but will give great results, target page rank 5-10 put it in social media
