Malware attack & SERP drop

Three days ago my site got a malware attack & there was Google warning on it. Then within appr.16 hours on the same day I managed to remove the malware & asked Google to review it & Google lifted the warning on my site almost immediately.

However now the SERP for all of my targeted keywords are down from #1 & #2 on the 1st page to nowhere to be found

For anyone who has experienced this before, how long do I need to gain my SERP back to normal? What should I do to speed the process?

Honestly, you may never recover your position. If the site is a money maker, you should gradually build high quality in-context links. No profiles, no comment blasts, no 500 links in a day. Write a decent article, spin it by hand at the word and sentence level, and start sending it to high quality link sources. Or can buy a PR 3 domain from domain auctions, get SEO hosting, add decent content and link the pages back to your main site. That can pass a significant amount of link juice back to your site.

From now on though, I would suggest you never notify Google of your site. Especially if you've done any link building.

I have exactly the same problem, and I don't know what to do.
If I create a new domain and redirect my old domain to it... this will not resolve the problem I think, because It will still have the same ranking.

I don't know if I should make a Link building again... or ask google for a review (that take several months...)

For info my website was on page 1 (#6 to #10) for my keyword... and now it's on the 5th-6th page (between #47 and #58)

It sounds like you links were just devalued. Build quality links. Don't ask for a review though, that is a bad proposition. At best the ignore you, at worst, they will see your link profile and you'll never come back.

Not to worry. Whats done is done. This gives you even more of a reason to focus on quality over quantity. Tread softly though, because now you may have a spotlight on you.

How long does it take to reinstate my position if I build high quality in-context links?

Would greatly appreciate if others can also share the experience regarding this issue.
