Hi all,

Last Saturday evening I started a FB campaign following the guidelines from a recent WSO. The recommendation was to start the campaign with a 1000/day budget to get the ads approved fast. So I did that....AND FELL ASLEEP!!! I nearly choked when I checked in the morning and saw a $100 already spent..and that was a lucky thing I guess, it could have been more!

The odd thing was one keyword had over 200,000 impressions whereas the other ones seemed to be lingering at far less. Well, as it turned out I did not double check the ads to see if the 'interest' (keyword) I put in actually was captured, which it wasn't. So that particular ad with that keyword went out to about 2,000,000 people!

Like I said, it could have been worse. As I see it I'm down $100 but learned a valuable lesson for advertising with FB:rolleyes:

1. Stay awake
2. Double check every single ad

Oh, and no conversions either

Anyways, keep smiling and have a great week,

LOL Funny! I did the same with Adwords once, bidding loads of high traffic terms, my bid was quite high to get it approved quickly, within an hour it had burned around £500.. Oops!
