I have set up 3 websites

site 1 set up on the 16th may. its has 19 posts, about 26 pages including main page indexed on googlle. it gets 330,000 exact searches a month, no ranking so far for main keyword.

site 2 set up on the 1st june, has about 6 posts, 8 pages indexed including home page on google. it gets 9000 exact searches a month.no ranking so far for main keyword.

site 3 set up 2nd june, 15 posts 20 pages indexed including home pages on google, gets 4500 exact searches a month.no ranking so far for main keyword

I made sure I did not over optimise for my keywords less than 2%, all unique content. 500-700 word posts.used Internet business promoter for seo. have only a bit of backlinking so far, some decent blog posts and a few web 2.0 unique posts linking to site

using

"Rank Checker"from google

to check on keyword ranking

Should some of these keyword been ranked by now? is there a better ways to check what keyword I could have ranked for?

Thanks

I don't want to spam, so I would say: using anchor text and links a few posts to each other from authority sites/blogs. I have a method, so if you're interested, PM me and I'll link you up! (Post, not product)

Oh, this method takes about a month to get onto page one. But you stay there.

It's funny but I've heard that said so many times over about 9 years now and every single one of them has eaten their words.

You should have added "for now" to the end of your post.

oh really? the best way to ensure strong rankings is by building a BRAND. this involves, well, quite a lot. engage in social media, get published on relevant REAL websites and do it often.

don't engage is shady tactics. even buying links isn't worth it now, not if you're trying to build a real business (feel free to experiment with throw-away sites though.)

Using the 3 free tools for each post on your site will make your site ranked fast:
    Ping.fm
    onlywire.com
    pixelpipe.com

You can outsource the creation of profiles on Fiverr.com

If you want to rank well you need backlinks from sites with high pagerank. Especially the backlinks with your keywords in anchor text, will do great for your rankings

Are you saying that because the penguin update slipped past you or because you just happen to sell the same service in your signature?

Ping.fm is ending on July 5th. They are being replaced by Seesmic Ping, which offers far fewer free services than Ping.fm did, and uses desktop software instead of being web-based.

Pixelpipe wasn't accepting new members, last time I checked, although I "think" you can get in the backdoor with a Twitter account.

      OnlyWire is $10 a month.

PS. The FASTEST way to get ranked in Google is using Youtube. Google can rank Youtube videos very quickly on the first page of the SERPs, sometimes in about a day.

I recently built a site, in the adult niche. Indexed within 24 hours and ranked on page one with minimal backlinks (reciprocal at that!) in a week. Low competition, massive [exact] monthly searches. Life is good. =)

It is not pretty straight forward question to answer, It is not easy to predict search engines as far as those algorithms are hidden from public.

I guess, you are with lack of backlinks, keep on working more with Web 2.0, Article directories and press releases - All these will give you "contextual links" which really helpful. Keep going, when you are ranked and get traffic, your analytic tool may indicate you

In between, make sure you have selected better keywords with help of some keyword tools and start working to rank those keywords.

I don't even have to look at the keyword to tell you a 330,000 traffic per month keyword is going to have extremely tough competition, especially If your new to SEO.

Nobody already ranking for a 330K keyword will let you easily rank a new site, or any other site for that matter.

Assuming the keyword is actually getting 330K traffic per month, sounds kinda like a Broad search to me.

No definitely, exact search, yeah it will be very difficult for me, I wanted to try one difficult site and do smaller sites also. I plan to just keep posting and backlinking on it and see what happens and it is something that I actually enjoy writing about, but i'm not in a rush with it, as i have alot to learn.

      thanks

    16 months, 2 weeks, 4 days and 52 seconds.

It scares me how little I know about SEO, but I still know enough not to ask such a senseless question like that.

Nobody in their right mind can answer that question. The guy who is trying for you right now, I'll put $10,000 down that you don't rank the site in his given time frame, unless perhaps he does it for you. Then he might charge you $10,000 just to rank a keyword like that.

We have no idea what you are doing, how you do it, or the thousands of other factors that go into ranking a website. So what makes you really think we could answer that question?

How about you learn a bit about SEO first, then give us some very fundamental data. Then you MIGHT get a rough estimate, but it would still be pointless because it will mean NOTHING. It DEFINITELY WILL NOT be just a few months. Considering your level of experience, I say 1 year just to learn HOW to rank it, then another year trying.

Here is some info you could have given us & 99% of people still couldn't answer you accurately:

    1) How many backlinks have you made?
    2) What type of backlinks were they?
    3) What % anchor text are you using?
    4) What % naked urls?
    5) Are you promoting on social media? What sites?
    6) Are you using blogs? How many? How often do you post?
    7) Have you done on page SEO to all your pages?
    8) What is your keyword density?
    9) Header tags, title tags, meta tags, page titles?
    10) Are you doing press releases? Syndicating articles?
    11) How many keywords are you targeting per page?
    12) What keywords?
    13) Do you realize I can make a list like this 10 pages long?

You are going to mess things up, so that tells me that will slow down your rank. You obviously aren't experienced with SEO.

So here are some things I'll tell you just to save you time.

#1 You are more than likely not ranking that site on page 1 no matter how hard you try. Not unless you accidentally find the right person and pay them good money to do it for you.
#2 If you're still adamant about getting a time frame, then do this:

Check your #1 competitor, currently holding the top spot in google.
Do a backlink check on his backlinks. Use backlink watch for now.

Find the first backlink they ever made, then the last one - what is the time frame between those 2 links?

Now double or triple that just because you don't know what you're doing. THAT *might* give you a fair estimate of how long it will take.

With all that said, I still believe cold heartedly you're not ranking the site. You might get to page 5 if you try hard enough, MAYBE. But I have a strong feeling you'll give up long before then. You have absolutely no idea what type of keyword you are really dealing with here.

I'm not trying to be negative but lets be real. You're not even experienced at SEO and you're picking websites that are 100 times harder to rank than the avg seo expert would even try.

    Good luck with that!

That's the reality of SEO, nobody knows how long it will take to rank a page in the SERPs until after the page is already ranked.

Anyone that gives you a time estimate is just throwing out random numbers.
