Google Penguin - Best way to buildlinks

Good day,

I am trying to rank my website to #1 position on Google for its keyword "toothache treatment"but with the Google Penguin update its seem backlink building tactics in change, please does anyone to best way for me to rank for this keyword.

    It's a pretty hard battle, knowing that there are a lot of big dental sites out there that you have to beat. You have to make sure that you give the people what they're looking for. What you think is informative may not be as informative to the people than you think it is. When you're building links, you don't just leave them on a site just for the sake of building links. You have to give value to whatever content is on that page.

    Be more careful about the content and onsite SEO to beat penguin. And research your competitors backlinks and try to build quality links in related sites.

    try get back links from article sites. Before that check your site if it has duplicate content or not.

      1) Do a thorough backlink analysis of your competitor's

      2 ) Do a thorough backlink analysis of the existing top 10 ranking sites

      Use a tool like Open Site Explorer ( OSE ) for anchor text distribution in their backlinks.

      If you can't afford $99 / pm fee of SEOmoz , you can get the OSE backlinks data for $5 from vendors at Fiverr

      While linkbuilding, always ask yourself "will this backlink pass Google's Human Quality Rater's check?" If yes, all such links would be good to have.

    High PR backlinks through either a private network or guest posting. High PR blog commenting on niche related domains that are of high quality and not spammed. Branded Web 2.0's. Forum and social interaction within your niche. Rinse and repeat. The big part of this is the high PR links though.

    Diversify your sources (there are tons out there)

    Press releases are BIG
    Social Bookmarking
    Wikis
    High PR Links
    Guest Posts
    Doc Sharing
    Social Signals (I've had amazing luck with Retweets but I stay FAR away from +1s)
    Social Media (Youtube, facebook, tumblr)
    Web 2.0s
    Link wheels
    Link Pyramids

    and remember to vary your anchor text!

    Ranking for one keyword is sort of moronic anyways

    thank you for your suggestion. I just got hold on my tool that can help me spy of my competitor backlinks. They really have a lot backlink to their website. I will try and also link to most of the website they are link to.

      Yet another penguin question...the same old same old...

      The best way to build links now is BEST way it's always
      been. I'm too lazy to keep repeating good link building
      techniques....as is everyone else...hopefully...
