Most linkwheels are fake

No offense but I believe based on experience that most linkwheel services are fake.
I ordered a number of linkwheel services before and nothing meets expectation.

Assuming there are 3 levels.

1. 50 wiki pages
2. 50 web 2.0 pages
3. money site

The result can be that all 100 sites (wiki pages and web 2.0) are pointing to your site but not in my wildest imagination that any of the wiki pages are linked to each other to form a wheel. Same with web 2.0 sites (not linked to each other)... Why I say so? Because there is no way they can do this automatically...

50 wiki sites should form a wheel then each should be pointed to web 2.0 pages. Web 2.0 pages should be connected to each other to form a wheel then each should be pointed to your money site.... I never see this happen yet from any of the order I received....

Why in the world would you want all the Web 2.0 sites linked together? That is an awful idea.

I think it all relies on how fast you make the backlinks. If you make them too fast then Google will punish you for it.

How can you call it a link wheel when they are not connected to form a wheel?
Take a look at typical samples again:

As you see above, sites are forming a wheel so in every page there should be 2 outgoing links (1 for money site and one for another web 2.0) This is not happening in most services. Most services has only one link pointing to the main site...

I'm aware of what a link wheel is. I'm just pointing out it would be foolish to create a real link wheel like that. You are just leaving a huge backlink footprint. You are better off not having the Web 2.0's connecting to one another.

Post-Panda automated link wheels will actually hurt your site's ranking. Creating a good link wheel require a lot of time and intelligence.

I think you should start small links around 10 links per day for first week then increase it around 30 per day and so on. Make it more natural since google don't want sudden increase of links for a new site

I am not actually talking about Google. I am talking about how banklinks are created... Seems no one is reading my thread before posting..

I think Google will eventually catch up to closed link wheels. A link pyramid or 5 or more intertwined or layered open link wheels might do better. What do you think?

I built a link wheel once and my site tanked in the rankings, it never came back.
