Google Snippet Problem

I have an ecommerce store based on Magento. I have meta descriptions and keywords for all pages.

The problem is that in Google many of the snippets only show a little piece of the meta description and then it shows a couple of products from that page.

My site updates the currency depending on the users currency so the when it shows the products in the snippets the currency is always USD as I guess google crawls it from the US.

As most of my sales are to the UK I think it puts people off when they see the USD currency symbol in the SERP's.

Can I specify what to show in the snippet more accurately? Or not show the currency symbol somehow?

Thanks!!

Google displays what is thinks is best.

However, you can use rich snippets, which looks
like that's what you want. If you are using a CMS,
you may need to get one that includes that, or some
    addon:

I currently using the extension you linked to but hasn't helped.

I'm now thinking I could echo the price on these pages using Javascript. Does this mean they would be ignored by Google?

I don't really need the price to be included in the SERPS anyway.

        I just found this:

        developers.google.com/search-appliance/documentation/46/admin_crawl/Preparing#pagepart

Seems like I can exclude the price from getting displayed in the Google snippet by wrapping these tags around it.

Does anyone know if this is effective?

EDIT: Never mind. That only applies to Search Appliance.

I suggest you have a look at this rich snippet extension. It is for magento and display extra information in Google. The other-way is going through the coding process but that it hectic for a non technical store admin.
