How long do you wait for on-page changes to be reflected in SERPS?

Hey all. Pardon me while I emerge from the lurker shadows. I'm in the process of making changes to my on-page optimization. 2012 was a rough year for my money site, and I'm trying to get back that which was lost. Pre-Panda, most of my efforts were in on-page optimization, and I did pretty well, until google decided I was doing it wrong. But I digress.

I'm experimenting with changes in things like number of affiliate links, keyword density, content length, eliminating exchanged links, and the like. After you make a change, how long do you wait to see if it changes your position in the search results before trying something new? A day? A week? or???

It depends on how often your site gets spidered/crawled.

It could take a day or it could take a week.

The last 2 years or so I have experienced that Google makes changes to the results very quickly. I have changed a title tag on a page and within 24 hours the position has changed.

I'd give it 4-5 days. There may be a change in 24 hours, but the results may bounce around for several days after the change because the data centers have to sync.

It's depends on the crawl status, and check out through your webmaster.

Its all depends upon crawler rate you set, if your website get updated regularly i dnt think it would take much time to index on SERP's.

Emm.. depending upon your changes and crawl rate... I have noticed that Google takes 15 days to change titles and description in search results. On the other hand, position change may depend on quality of the change introduced.
