Best Squeeze Page Traffic

Hi,

It sounds like SEO traffic isn't particularly great for list building/affiliate marketing plus you are at Google's mercy.

What are the other ways people have had success with?
PPC from places like Adwords/Bing Ads?
Forum activity? Do the moderators not remove posts when it looks like you are trying to advertise a websites?

Am I missing some other ways?

    You need think of your traffic as actual humans instead of numbers. All that separates good quality visitors and bad quality visitors is how targeted they are. For that reason, there's no (or minimal) difference between the traffic that comes from targeting a keyword using adwords or seo.

    To get ongoing targeted traffic from a forum, you need to be an active/helpful member of the community to build a name for yourself. Any forum that's worth their salt would be moderated quite well, so as you've already said, you shouldn't openly advertise your website. Instead, give them value and if they're interested, they'll delve deeper (into your profile or signature) and possibly subscribe to your list.
