Who know a simple analytics tool that can be easily understand by the client in terms of his website performance in SEPRs. For me GA is complicated for non-techie clients who want to see their website's progress. Unless there is way to customize GA reports to show only specific data like for traffic and keywords perhaps without showing all those menus. If there is a way please teach me how to do it.

I would also prefer analytics tool where the client can login on a dashboard. Free or paid tool I need your suggestions.

Thanks.

Springmetrics dot com is a very simple analytics tool to use, free trial period and then $49 per month. It is much simpler than Google Analytics.

Take a look at my signature, there's a team of guys who have what you need (not complicated + provide clients with metrics that matter only like traffic, keyword rankings, etc)

But I'm not 100% sure if there's any more slots available.

    • In Google Analytics, you can create a dashboard for your client and send him the reports when need, or teaching him how to see the dashboard inside Google Analytics. The nice thing about dashboard is that within a single page you can view all the KPIs needed.

  • Jovykhan,

In the past what I have done for clients is to either take screen shots of reports or export them as PDF’s and then add my own graphics explaining certain metrics. In my opinion you can’t really dumb down the reports any more than that. Yes its hard stuff to understand if you don’t work with it every day however it’s a marketer’s job to explain things to clients. Perhaps you could even just use your own reports made by hand using Analytics data that would be easier for your client to understand.

If it’s a matter of them receiving reports from you that they don’t understand, I would avoid this practice all together. Unless you are dealing with someone that knows what they are looking at, you should always be sitting down with your client to go through any reports.

Maybe you can find an answer here,

I suggest statcounter.com for visitor stats and serpfox.com for rank tracking. The basic accounts on both these are free.

If you want to generate weekly visitor reports that automatically get emailed to your client, have a look at piwik. You can even add your own branding. Piwik is open source code that you install on your web server. Takes about 3 minutes to set up.
