google places- how do i rank for multiple keywords?

Hey guys,

I just set up a website for my wife to generate leads for her own cleaning company. I also set up a google places account which I have just this minute verified and landed straightin spot b for my target keyword.

However when I try other search terms I am not even displayed on the list... I have noticed though that some businesses are showing for a few terms, how can I do this for my wife.

What is it that they are doing to show for multiple terms?

Any help would be great,

    Hi,

    to rank in Google place for multiple keywords,In your google place profile category you should use business relevant keywords, and promote those target keywords in local business listing, local classified sites you will get rank for multiple keywords

    The keywords aren’t the only thing getting those businesses to rank. Also, using Google as a measurement tool for your own progress is very misleading. Google is showing you results based on your location, your browsing habits and your search history. You will never get an accurate picture of where your wife’s Google places page is ranking based on a regular Google search.

    Fill out the Places page completely and try to add information wherever you can. Next focus on getting reviews for the place page. You might launch a campaign where customers are asked to go online and fill out a review for the chance to win a gift card or something. She could leave this on a small marketing card after visiting each client. Reviews will help push the page up higher in SERPs.

    Ultimately, the Places page is good but you really want to focus on ranking a website. That is where you want people going.

      The main things that rank your keywords with the new Google platform isn't categories because most of them have been limited or wiped so if you can only choose one relevant only choose the 1 what keywords are you going for?
