247 Pinger

Has anyone else used the pinger on the 247 site?

I don't get it? You add a list of links that you want to ping which is straight forward but then the next box lets you add a list of keywords. Confused to the point of the keywords. Surely it is just pinging search engines with my links?

  • I believe you add keywords that are relevant to the pages that you are pinging.

    For example:
    If you are pinging an article about dog training, then you should add the keyword "dog training" in that box
  • Thanks for replying but what is the purpose of these keywords? Is they count towards serp?
