AdSense vs Other Ad Networks

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an alternative for Adsense and want to know if any of the so called "premier" ad networks like The Deck, Carbon Ads, etc have a better payout.

Anyone have any experience with any of these ad networks?

All I can say is that if a network is claiming to pay better that adsense, you have to test it... one of the many issues faced by networks is the lack of volume of advertisers to drive the rates up.

Even our network struggles with having enough advertisers to spawn the bidding wars increasing bids. Great for our current advertisers, not so much for our publishers.

If your site is in a single niche then you're usually better off going direct to vendors' affiliate schemes.

If you're in something like dating, weight loss or forex then you have no business using AdSense. Cut out Google and you'll make way more money, especially if you have good, targeted traffic.

Some affiliate schemes take a bit of work to find. My best one of 2013 doesn't actually advertise their affiliate scheme, but they do have one. If you *really* know your niche, you'll know the best vendors to partner up with.

    Adsense has no better alternative.

Instead of wasting your time and resources trying out other networks you are better off getting your hands dirty with selling affiliate products..

    Thanks everyone for the feedback.

johnben1444 You are probably right...I'll have to look into good affiliate programs. Media Temple and Amazon supposedly have one of the best affiliate programs around. Maybe I will look into those to supplement my ad revenue.

Your best bet is to include the option for advertisers to buy ads from you. If your traffic is good, this will definitely work well for you.

As for ad networks, I don't know of any good alternative to adnsense, and I dont think there is any. People usually go with CPA/ClickBank/Amazon, depending on the niche.
