couple of questions on seo?

Hi People, i have a couple of questions about seo?
1. I have 10 web2.0 websites with 3 different anchor text keywords pointing to my website i also have 250 bookmarks spread out over a month with anchor keywords pointing to my site but when i do backlink audit on my site no backlinks show up. Could somebody please explain why, by the way this is my first attempt at ranking a website.
2. I am thinking of doing a Q&A page on my website so people can find what they are looking for will it be a good or bad for seo point if i redirect them to yahoo answers?

    1. Backlink counters don't pick up all links, so that could be the problem. It also could be that you may just have to wait a bit longer for the links to show up. If you haven't already, you should install Google Webmaster Tools and see if the links show up there.

    2. No it won't hurt you if you link to Yahoo answers, but I'm not sure why you would want to direct people away from your site.

    1. The backlinks must be indexed before they show up in the Google Analytics or in other statistics. You can just wait or you can use indexer services
    2. Apply Q&A on your website. More fresh and unique content means more ranking for your website.
