Will iFrame on blog home page affect SERPS and make SEO more difficult?

Hello guys,

As usual when i am not sure about something, i just come in here and ask!

So hear goes......

I have put up a couple of sites that have autoblog syndicated style of content. To monetize the sites i have in one inserted an iFrame with an affiliate offer and the other i have inserted a max banner ad with a CPA offer.

Now i am not worried at the moment which is the most profitable offer as time and split testing will sort this out.

The Question is...As far as the SERPs is concerned, which method of inserting an offer does the Mighty Google Dislike the most??

Do they dislike max banner ad's and iframes in equal amounts, or do they have no bad effect on SERPS or SEO??

Any opinions would be appreciated as i would hate to use the one that google views more badly than the other, especially when both are as relatively easy to implement on site

I am sure when i was studying ppc (which i gave up on) that google did not like iFrame landing pages (i may also have this wrong), so i was wondering what effect this may have on SEO and SERPs

Thanks in advance

Paul

OK...I clicked on this thread twice now. I thought...eh...I'm tired, so I'll do it tomorrow.

So here's the quickie answer just so that I can go to sleep:

Google won't see what's inside the iframe. It will see what's around it, what's before it and what's after it. And...yes...you can optimize an iframe but that's not the issue here.

The banner, google doesn't read the banner either. It does read the alt tag that you place for the banner and you can rename the banner as one of your keywords, and you can even use a complete url to call on the banner with a redirect set to it...just to optimize it a little more.

    So, to sum it up...

Banners...you can work with, google doesn't care, iframe's are a little harder.
