SEO Plugin for Wordpress--- Yoast or SEOPressor???

I am very confused...

Before you answer, please know that I read A LOT of posts on here about this topic... However... I have been using Yoast for over a year.. My page rank is at 1/10. Not great.

I use a Firefox toolbar that tells me what the PageRank is for a site.

I did a Google search for Best SEO plugin and came across SEOPressor. I know it is NOT free, BUT when I tested the SEOPressor website with the page rank, it is at 6/10. That is REALLY good and it's very hard for a page to rank so high.

I know everyone likes Yoast and Ultimate, but it just seems like the SEOProsser having that type of Page Rank is doing something right.

Thoughts???!

If you have to use a plugin definitely pick Yoast. The guy knows what he's doing when it comes to SEO.

I know a lot of people are using Yoast.. I used it for over a year, spent hours upon hours following all the instructions online for Best seo with yoast and I still ranked LOW with it.

Please see my initial post. I mentioned that www.SEOProsser.com is ranking 6/10 which is REALLY good (the higher the better).

I use Yoast. It's not so complicated, and it has great features and support.
        It does great for me.

No SEO plugin is going to rank your site on its own. You need lots of other things done!

If a SEO plugin was all one needed to rank, we'd all be doing it.

Ok, now it is becoming clear. It's a poor attempt of trying to promote a paid SEO plugin that doesn't even do half of the stuff it's freely available counterparts do.

I'm not sure why you are interested in SEOPressor.com's pagerank? They've probably got some nice backlinks, and you don't.

If you want a good comparison, Yoast.com's pagerank is the same at 6. But that's because guys like me, and much bigger blogs, are writing about his plugin. SEOPressor might get some SEO benefit from their affiliate program.

I use Yoast as I have found his updates to be more timely, and I have never run into any issues with other plugins, as I did with the old All-In-One-SEO plugin.

Have used Yoast before and it's been around for a long time. It has a lot of great features and they keep it updated. I would recommend it. I'm not sure about the other plugin you mentioned.

I think YOAST is more than enough to SEO your posts. First you do the quality, plugins like yoast and seo pressor can't do quality. lol.
Plugin like yoast just ease how search engine will read the meta tags etcto rank it even easier. But now google put "bounce rate" will determine the user experience that will lead to rank higher or not

Yoast is the best SEO plugin for WordPress for sure. To the other guy saying he's still ranked low, no legitimate WordPress plugin will rank your website on search engines. They merely provide guides so you can follow the best techniques.

You still need to do SEO work to get your pages ranked.

Yoast or SEOPressor will have no impact at all on your PageRank.

I did a Google search for Best SEO plugin and came across SEOPressor. I know it is NOT free, BUT when I tested the SEOPressor website with the page rank, it is at 6/10. That is REALLY good and it's very hard for a page to rank so high.
That's because the SEOPressor site has a ton a good backlinks. Again, the PageRank has nothing to do with what SEO plugin you are using.

I know everyone likes Yoast and Ultimate, but it just seems like the SEOProsser having that type of Page Rank is doing something right.
It's just a matter of marketing and building backlinks. Nothing more and nothing less.

    Mystery solved.

I do recommend Yoast SEO too, but I don't recommend digging up old threads to just post that. There's enough fresh ones.

I tried both and both are good but for some reason the Free All in One SEO plugin worked the best for local small business websites in local search but Yoast worked best for national website searches and SEOPressor worked well for international search

I have used both. In my experience SEO Pressor used to work a treat till about 2 years ago, but if you follow all its guidelines you run the risk of over-optimisation, plus it leaves a very visible footprint in the page source code unless you hack the php code to remove it.

SEO Yoast is a much safer bet.

I've used most of seo plugins that are available for wordpress on my customers' websites, but Yoast seo plugin turned out to be most comfortable to use. Especially I like it's ability to force rewrite meta tags (when other plugins can not change metatags for front page and other pages, Yoast usually does it). Also it has a very useful ability to show how your website will appear in search results by typing title and description ir real time (not the only plugin, but definetly not all seo plugins do that).

Of course it's just a tool which helps a lot optimizing on-page content, although using it alone will not rank website in top10 in search engines.

I personally use yoast as well. I got all in one seo package to input my onpage stuff and seopressor to see whether I get my score to 100% optimized. You get a free trial with them after 2 weeks but going premium is worth it.

Watch out for conflicts between plugins. I know for a fact that Yoast and seo ultimate don't work together for example.

Using several SEO plugins sounds like a poor idea. Multiple plugins may conflict or just switch themselves off. At least check your HTML to see that the plugins are working as expected, and not just duplicating meta fields. There's also no reason to use multiple plugins because the on-page changes that they make are so simple that any one of them should work just fine.

I don't trust those scores. They're based on some random set of factors, and do not necessarily mean that Google algo would agree with the plugin author.

I must admit that my opinion partly stems from my native language being synthetic. Google usually gets the meaning right even when there's morphemes in play because of the research and development they've put into it. All of the tools I've seen are just primitive in comparison.

"SEO plugins" are overhyped. Sure, good custom tiltles and descriptions can look more appealing, but focus on good, unique and relevant content for you niche that your audience/target group likes instead, and Google will gradually rank you high. Stuffing keywords with the help of some "magical plugin" won't help you much.
