I get this on webmaster tools ''We do not detect any structured data on your site''.

If i don't use the data highlighter can i still rank on google?

    Of course you can rank without any schema.org microdata on your site. Most sites don't have any.

    Very often obvious things like this get flagged for deletion. You can find the answer by typing less text in Google's search box. Maybe that's the reason for no answers.

    As of now, structured data has no added advantage. But many case studies reveal that it increases the CTR to a great extend.
