Hi,

I have been contacted by a company looking to put an ad on my PR4 website. They are not interested in CPC or CPM pricing, so I assume they just want the benefit of the page rank.

Is this something you would consider for your own sites? If so how much would you charge for a 125x125 dofollow link?

Depending on traffic size, I would start at $20-40/month. That's based on your assumption they just want the pr but then pitch them on a yrly for $500 or so. Without knowing any other info, that's my advice.

      Thanks!

I went back with an offer of $600 for one of my sites or $1000 for both (annually).

They came back, really fast, with an offer of $100! Its not really worth my time for that kind of money, plus I would lose link juice and more importantly clicks to Amazon!

The going rate is about $50/6 months. I would have snatched up that C note
right away. I think people have little notion of what a link sells for now. The
days of mucho cash for links is over, at least for awhile.

People are just now getting back into the link buying game, and are still
        a little shy.

It rarely affects your ctr on anything else if done right on both ends.

I never ever leave cash on the table. Look at it this way. it takes
all of 30 seconds to add a link....and you get $100 for 30 seconds
        work. It costs you nothing.

If your site gets traffic from search - I wouldn't advise you to get advantages from this "offer". On the other hand, you can just add "nofollow" to their link and ask for $$$. If they don't like it, just leave it...

That depends on the number of your traffic. But if you sense them that they are after for your Page Rank, ask them for a higher price.

Yes, as all said, it depends on monthly traffic you gain on your website. You can charge according to the banner size.

If all they want is a PR4 link simply check their backlink profile to see where else they're buying links from, check the average rate they are paying other people for PR4 links. You can even ask them for the 125x125 image up front then search by image on Google Images to find other sites where they're buying backlinks.

Always start out with a higher price than you expect a buyer to pay, the same goes with buying houses or cars, that gives you room to negotiate price & still make a profit. You can still get a ballpark number before negotiating price.
