    Thanks for that I have not read it yet but the first paragrapgh lit up my mind like a Christmas tree, it was amazing. I have just become a full time IM for myself and I have decided that the way to go forward is free content. However I know that a lot of people especially newbies have a resistance to opt in methods.

    I also understand that I need a list and an opt in gives me an opportunity to develop one. I was trying to reconcile the way to give away free content and also get a list without an opt in. Your first paragraph answers the question.

    the content in this particular one i wish i knew about back in 2005 as people dont really tell you this kind of thing you just pick it up bit by bit. It amazes me how many people offer opt-ins for list building but dont present any kind of special offer its just good money going down the toilet.
