No activity in here? Why?

I came here expectantly only to find the latest activity was since 2021. What has happened? Does this mean this didn't work or is it the death of JVs? I have a fantastic proposal I had wanted to share but by the look of things, it has caused me to think more about them and thought I would ask first

Well, you haven't posted since 2020, so I'm not sure you can complain about lack of activity. If you have a proposal that complies with the JV regulations, go ahead and post it.

My guess is that members who regularly participate in the discussion areas probably get more views on their offers and sig files.

Interesting, since I am replying to a post made months ago and this will be my first post in years, mostly because I moved into developing blockchain cryptography, which is off topic here, so I had nothing to say that was not (off topic) but to address this topic, I suspect that most people likely did not really understand how a joint venture works, (outside the confines of the internet a joint venture is normally very different than what is seen posted here) a joint venture is really more closely related to a partnership where two or more parties that have a symbiotic incentive to work together to achieve profit. Most of the posts here have to do with trading skills and labor which is not really a joint venture.

Basically it is a misunderstanding of interpretation. To most people here they post here with requests for someone that has a skill they may lack and then hope to make an arrangement that rewards the other party but in reality this is little more than employer employee where one trades time and skills for either something they want or hope to get. It has not worked well because most of the time everyone has a different idea about how things will work or how they hope things might work, one person might think that their idea of success is the only one that will work while the other might think the opposite. This is not how a joint venture works.

On an amusing sidebar, years ago I had a JVzoo paypal account simply titled joint venture, years later paypal sought to close my account because they "thought" that I was engaged in the business of Marijuana production, I could not convince paypal that a joint venture was not about Marijuana and thus was not illegal. I ended up having to change the name of the business.
