JV: Let's Make $10,000+ per Weekend SEO Seminars
I'm in the mid-atlantic, looking for at least one partner to hold weekend seminars teaching small businesses how to market their real world businesses on the internet. I have premade templates for a website, an advertising plan/guide and powerpoint files -- all of which need to be rewritten/customized. (The website template is pretty generic.) I'd like to run this as a JV, splitting the costs and profits evenly and selling it for $1k-2k per seat with the assistance of a sales person (or ten).
Advertising would mostly be done offline since we're selling our services to people who are not internet saavy. Me? I'm a former technical trainer and military instructor. Willing to travel to Northern Virginia/DC Metro, Philly, Baltimore, NJ and NYC at first, but if it pays off then I'm willing to use the inital profits to finance traveling anywhere. I already have travel-related contacts in Vegas and Chicago.
Any JV partners must be willing to formalize the partnership with contracts, legal agreements, etc. Will be able to pitch your independent SEO services, etc at the seminars. I have several projects going right now so I don't have the time to manage this right now - but want to have the website set up by January, have salespeople rolling for a few months and be ready to start monthly seminars beginning in March. I'm only looking for partners because I don't want to talk all day and would like help managing the crowd if it's larger than 30 people. Imagine 30-60 customers at $1k+ per person, split 3 or 4 ways on a monthly basis.
