Use Caution When Doing Solo Ads

I just wanted to throw out a public service message about using caution when it comes to paying for solo ads.

There are a lot of people who know that list building is huge and want to take advantage of it. I did a a couple solo ads from people on Warrior Forum that brought me a lot of success but I've also been taken advantage of and lost money.

I bought a solo ad from someone who once I paid, told me that he had problems with his email marketing provider and the mailing would be delayed. After waiting and waiting I asked for a refund and was ignored. I tried to submit a payment dispute but the person fought me on it and won and I lost $277 and the mailing was never done.

So the moral of the story is to be careful what you are paying for and research the people doing the solo ads. Find out where they built their list, find out how they will be sending out your ad. You don't want to waste money on someone who has bought a list, and spam it. Or worse, never sends the ad and you pay for nothing. Find trusted people so you don't get taken advantage of.

I learned the hard way.
