I've been reviewing my strategy and realised how vital it is that I create a strong brand on social media. I have some idea on strategy to do so but I wanted some other people's opinion on the matter.

How do you create a strong brand on social media?

Creating a strong brand on social media really requires being social. That's the whole point of social media sites.

You have to join groups, make posts, comment on posts, and make friends.

I know people who have built an entire business just by using Facebook and Instagram.

You have to be consistent with your efforts in each though.

It's about creating a plan a sticking to that plan daily until people begin to recognize how serious you are.

Exactly! That's what social medias are for! My advice would be being active on all of them (if they're suitable with your business of course), but it really isn't a necessity. You can build a strong audience using only Facebook for an example. The main point is to use any social network the way you'd use it for personal stuff: post often, be active, post about stuff that are relevant and most importantly: don't spam.

I remember Lina T with the Rockstars Dr Dan and Ben had a Social Media Branding tool but not sure if it's still available for sale. But, basically it was a tool where you enter you brand image and it will make a header for Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Plus.

If you can't find it you can PM me and I can help you out.

Just by being active! You need to interact with others on a daily basis, make yourself seen. The idea is to be in people's faces all the time, if I may say so, but in a nice way of course!

Social media is one of the best way to increase your brand presence online. If it is done with proper planning and updated after regular intervals of time then it can be very good source for branding and marketing of your business.
Social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, G+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Youtube etc.,can be one of the best sources if regularly updated and managed well. The only thing you need to analyze is to check which platform is going to work for you. If you want to utilize all the channels, you need to understand the user behavior in every social media channel . On the basis of that, you can share related services information.

  • In my head, I had it down to 3 main things:

Awareness- ensuring people know you exist and vaguely what you offer
Relationships- ensuring people feel like they know, like and trust you (knowing you exist and "knowing you" are different things).
Curiosity- your content on social media spikes people's interest indirectly to the point where prospects purposely try and find more information about your product or service through their own decision. They view your content out of curiosity but not from you giving them a link directly and saying "View this" or whatever else people spam with!

I wrote a blog post on it, but I won't bore you with the link. The idea in my head was structuring posts on facebook like this:

    1.) The Hook
2.) The Curiosity (demonstrate value to your target market)
    3.) The Indirect Invite

An example post I wrote was something like this:

Wow, my website has really grown since I started it. People seem to be loving the content and keep coming back for more. I want to make you a success and my site is the best way for both of us to achieve that! DanielJamesWarburton.com continues to grow on a daily basis and I look forward to what is to come!
Would something like that work well? I'm in a "study phase" at the moment where I am putting a lot of work into developing skills so genuine feedback would be helpful!

being on social media networks means being human. do what you usually do when talking with friends, or people you hope you can sell things to.

becoming a brand is one thing, the other thing is being a character to represent that brand. noone wants to talk to bots, or people that talks so formal as if casual is the last thing on their list.

This is a great question and I would say you build a brand from repetition and people seeing it over and over. The most successful people that I have seen on YouTube for instance probably have several hundreds of videos. The most successful blogs have several hundred articles... it goes on and on but this is also how you start to build a huge following
