    Firstly @Jeff Lenney i think this thread is ok for this question. Can you just explain why you say this is not appropriate thread. Yes Mr @chrisj You can sell your products in your facebook page but before that you want to huge accurate fan following of your facebook page to relate your business. It will take more time may b for that you need facebook paid advertisement. I have a another way you can create a group and add the members to relate your business and try to share your similar groups. It will helps your to increase the member. When you see your audience is good to advertise your protect then start advertise your product i buy and sell section. I am sure i am giving nearby solutions of your question.
