Twitter will start removing 'Legacy' blue checkmarks next week

As Twitter pushes Blue to members, the platform announced that 'legacy' verified blue checkmarks will be removed effective next week.

This could result in some long-standing verified accounts making payments and gaining a few more Twitter Blue members.

But, selling verification checkmarks is a flawed strategy because its growth and expansion dilutes its own value. After all, you can't sell reputation, and you're not supposed to charge for authority or recognition.

Either way, prepare to pay up or lose your blue tick starting next week.

Chime in.

Yes, Twitter has removed the blue check, and now It's paid. Many users disliked this paid blue tick option.

people earned their checkmark, and now they have to pay for it, that doesn't make sense.

then there is the gold checkmark which costs a lot of money.
