YouTube Shorts or TikTok for marketing?

YouTube has over 100 million daily active users in the US; TikTok on the other hand has about 50 million.

Both have their pros and cons, so if you are to pick only ONE platform to build your audience on, which are you using?

      Yes, you can get a lot of traffic very fast but YouTube gets you more views on a consistent basis from your videos.

      In TikTok you can post a video, get a lot of views (Sometimes 500-1000) and then it STOPS. You need to consistently add new videos.

    According to me youtube is best option for marketing because i live in india and in india tiktok is banned but youtube is used alot so if u market i tiktok you might miss lot of audience and also youtube has lot of user so youtube is better option

    I thought id answered this before, but maybe not, it depends if you have a younger audience i would say tik tok, but for anyone else i would say you tube shorts, there is an market for young and older on both platforms, but this is my opinon and experience, i hope you find this helpful

    Personally, I would stay away from TikTok. I was starting to market one thing and then eventually Tiktok out of the clear blue (and yes I was following the terms and conditions) But one day they turned around and permanently banned my account.. They are very finicky and if you post the wrong thing that they don't like you get permanently banned.

    I would seriously not even do free traffic using the social media presence because of the simple fact that what my mentor taught me is correct. Social media is not a place to try and get traffic because they will eventually catch up with you and permanently ban you for trying to take traffic away from their site.

    I got 60 sales in my first year as an affiliate marketer sure.... not a lot but I was also still building and whatnot. I used Safelist and Soloads for most of my traffic.

    If I had to choose one of the two platforms, I would choose the TikTok app instead of Youtube. Because this application has many cool features that you can use to create videos. Moreover, the virality of tiktok today I find much faster than Youtube.

    Choosing between YouTube Shorts and TikTok for marketing depends on your audience and content style. If your audience is more on YouTube, go for Shorts. If you're targeting a younger crowd with snappy videos, TikTok might be your jam.

    But, For marketing, I'd lean towards YouTube. TikTok seems more geared for shorter attention spans.

    There's not enough context in your question about the type of content or the niche, but why would anyone have to choose just one? It's not an "either/or", it's an "and".

    Post them on all video platforms: YouTube & Shorts, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook Reels, and even Twitter. Repurposing is key when you're trying to build your audience, because you can never know where you're going to get the most traction.

    But in general, for long-form content and long-term monetization, YouTube is the best.

    Just remember that YouTube can switch up on you real quick. So don't put all your eggs in one basket.

    Youtube is the best source of income, creating videos and shorts helps not only online upper-level but also it is a platform for all who want to earn money. Many of our contacts earn money from YouTube.

    I will prefer to go with youtube shorts. The reason of youtube short is getting high quality traffic from external traffic sources such as google search engine.
