Fanpage "People Saw This Post" Decreased From 12K to 2K

One of my most popular post on my Fan Page decreased the "People Saw This Post" number from 12,000 to 2,000 within 6 hours.

Can anyone explain what caused this? I thought these numbers can only increase, not decrease. You can't un-see what you've seen.

The number of Likes, Comments, and Shares are still increasing.

    It's happening a lot, I network with quite a few craft sellers as I also have a craft related page and everyone is saying the same thing. Fluctuating post view numbers.

    Probably Facebook messing with stuff again, who knows. Lots of strange things happening.

    It is because they had buy fake like on it and now Facebook become more serious about activities.

      I Never bought any fake "Likes," all are legitimate "Likes."

      Will my post get penalized if I "Like" every Comment on that post? Because, that is what I did, I clicked "Like" for every Comment made by fans.

    Your problem is very serious because of most every page have daily likes increase but not decrease. But in last year Facebook have take action to remove likes from user which are not active and other action. That's why this thing happened.
