What camera do you use for recording youtube videos?

Hey all,

I am going to be recording youtube videos in the near future and I was wondering what cameras do you guys use for your videos?

I was going to use my cell phone but I wasn't sure if perhaps I should go and get something a little higher quality. It doesn't have to be outstanding quality but I don't want it to look too crappy though either.

Experiences or recommendations?

Thanks

I use YouTube Capture on my iPad. It produces amazing video. Checkout my sig for examples (All videos with HD are YouTube Capture produced).

I use my phone with a 8mp camera but the quality isn't great. I recommend using a professional camera, I heard canon are the best

If you use the iphone, would doing a 30 to 40 minute video work or would that be too long and not be something that could be uploaded (plus possibly use up too much of the monthly bandwidth)?

When considering a camera consider the microphone. The sound is more important than the image.

I use Panasonic AGM-150 with External XLR Mic and Canon 7D with external MIC. But we do a lot of outside work.

Alternatively get a good Desktop Cam for your PC and good MIC and that will do the job.

Forgot to mention it, but mic is very important, other way, the sounds will be not professional.

It all depends on what purpose the videos will be used for...what do you intend to shoot? Yourself pitching something? or Celebrity interviews...or ???
