Can you make money on twitter?

Just a quick question-

facebook is pretty hot for the make money online niche (and pretty much any niche) right now.

Just wondering if anyone is focusing on Twitter as a money making tool?

I tried using the twitter PPC but it ate through my money faster than my wife!:-)

Any thoughts?

    We have a few affiliates that continually auto-post tweets with their affiliate links. I'm not sure if they've ever made money that way. The nice thing is that it's a simple setup and pretty hands free.

    As for our experience with Twitter ads, I just like it because it's very targeted. We use it more for exposure than for ROI.

    But yes, you can make money on Twitter.

    From my 100% biased and personal experience, I recommend Facebook

    From a personal viewpoint, I prefer Facebook and YouTube but I presume if money weren't there, then folk wouldn't use it.

    Twitter is a popular social media. I use it to just share news & get meet new friends. I did not use it for money making.But I found many people use twitter to make money.

    By no means do we focus on Twitter... it's just another traffic source amongst many that we use... and our CORE strategy is to build the list... so with that said, it works for us, but lead costs are a bit higher for us than Facebook. But still gives us a good ROI and makes it a worthwhile traffic source for us.

    Facebook will be better for money-making, but you can "sell" tweets with links if you have a lot of followers for a pretty good price. If you manage to get those links clicked on (by making them relevant to what you usually tweet about you can earn a lot.
