Looking for writers

i'm starting a site called Hungry History.
So I need content writers, who can contribute interesting articles related to food and their origins. Some examples I can think of are

Where did pizza come from? Who invented it?
Did Peaking Duck originate from Peaking?
Who created Tiramisu?

So I need a long term contributor. The article should be of quality content, interesting stuff that people will want to read and share. It should include images as well. Be prepared to do some research for the articles.

I'm not limiting the word count, but as mentioned it needs to have relavent and interesting content with substance

Writer should have good command of English and knowledge of Wordpress.

1) name
2) country you are from
3) sample of your writings
4) how much you'll charge per article
5) propose 3 interesting topics related to Hungry History (just topics)

I would be interested if you could give me a list of five subjects that start out with so I don't have to obtain them and guess that you will like the subjects.

I would also like a list so I can see how hard it will be to research the subject in order to give you a proper quote

I'm happy to pay writers for each article. Most of the time the writers let me know their rates and we can agree beforehand if that works out.

Payment is usually done via paypal. I've got some samples at hungryhistory.com

I can definitely help you with the Apple Fan site. I already have articles on my own Facebook fan page ready to go and I worked at Apple for 5 years 4 in sales, 1 with copy editing/writing.
