Hiring x3: Marketer, Ops Manager, Developer

Hi, I have a couple of positions that I need to hire for. These are for full time, permanent, virtual positions. I am not looking for an agency.

First, about me/us:

I've been building/operating SaaS businesses for the past 4 years. In late 2011, I started focusing on building a core team that could become experts on creating, launching, and operating these types of software businesses.

We are 100% virtual, work all across the US and the World, and work widely varying schedules. We collaborate actively via numerous web-based tools/channels. We're passionate about technology and delivering valuable services to our customers.

Marketer
I need a marketing person to help across a number of businesses with duties to include, but are not limited to:
  • Funnel design
  • Funnel implementation (non-technical)
  • Landing page design/creation
  • Split testing
  • Email writing (autoresponder & promo blasts)
  • Sales pages (copy)

Basically I need someone that can help in EVERY aspect of marketing. As I mentioned this is for multiple companies, so there'll be a good variety of work.

Some of these are very focused on the traditional IM space. Some are a bit more mainstream. So to be really successful, you'll need to be able to speak in a less hype-y voice than your typical WSO.

The goals of this position are:
  • Increase conversions
  • Increase repeat sales
  • Increase customer engagement
  • Increase customer retention
  • Increase customer reactivation
All of which really just means increase revenue. There is a LOT of potential to have a huge impact here; we're doing quite well but are way under-marketed, so you can step in and make a real splash.

Operations Manager
This is the least defined of the positions, but I'm going to give it my best shot.

I need a person that can be a bit of the yin to my yang, someone that will bring a steady hand and add some constancy to my business. I need someone that is used to getting things done, that can dig in and make sure that tasks get finished.

I have a lot of pokers in the fire, and my attention tends to get jerked from one to the next as partners / vendors / customers / employees demand it. I need YOU to make sure that the important things proceed on task and on schedule to deliver when they should.

To be effective in any one of my companies, you will need to understand most everything about it. The product, the customers, the marketing, the finances, everything. And I'll need to be able to trust you to take the reins and execute the strategy I've put in place.

** Quick note that I do think there are a few individuals out there that would be capable of combining the Marketing position with the Ops position, at least initially. That...would be awesome. Eventually you'd need to go one direction or the other and we'd hire to fill the other role, but an Ops person that could handle the marketing angle to start with would be amazing.

Developer
I actually have openings for multiple developers, both in PHP as well as .NET. All we do is SaaS products, so generally large scale, high performance, high-availability type stuff.

I could list a bunch of specific technical requirements here, but honestly that seems low value. If you have skills and you're interested in the security of a job but the flexibility of being virtual and the potential to enjoy some of the upside (aka $$) of the products you work on, you should get in touch.

Things I value: speed, flexibility (we change our minds a lot), and responsiveness. There are more, but most developers don't have these. If you aren't online a lot and get mad when people switch plans on you, this is not the job you're looking for.
