I own a web site which I built from scratch in the coffee niche. It is a social network of sorts where people share coffee related pictures (Latte Art) rate them and discuss techniques.

Unfortunately I've lost my passion for coffee (I can't drink it anymore for health reasons) and am too busy with other things to turn this into something profitable.

It's PageRank 3, there's over 400 registered users on the site, many of them regular contributors. They're all on a mailing list which I have only mailed to once or twice.

The site runs itself thanks to community contributions (I've literally not touched the code or contributed in any way for over 12 months) and it continues to get over 1200 visits every month (according to Google Analytics) thanks to some high quality back links (myspace, facebook, blogs, forums etc) and occasional (unprompted) blog posts about the site by passionate community members. It was even featured in the washington post newspaper!

It's making a few dollars from Adsense, but nothing worth mentioning. This sale is all about potential.

What could you do with a supportive like this? How valuable is a pre-built and untapped mailing list based on a web site people LOVE?

With very little effort this could be transformed into a huge money spinner. I've got a list of things I planned on implementing to boost traffic and make a killing that unfortunately my time never allowed. I'll talk these things through with the new owner.
