I want to talk to you about my favorite SEO WordPress plugin, Yoast. WordPress is simply an internet platform that allows you to easily add content to your site. Within WordPress there are these things called plugins and they make it easier for you to do things with your blog that you wouldn't be able to do unless you had a technical background. One thing that they make plugins for is to make SEO easier. One of these plugins is called Yoast and I've been using it for some time now and it’s really helped me maximize each and every one of my blog posts, along with my site itself for SEO.

Every single one of your blog posts has the potential to show up in the search engines for a search query. What Yoast does is it makes optimizing each of your posts for SEO easy and the best thing about it is that it’s free! If you don’t already have it installed, just go to your WordPress dashboard and install it. It’s really easy and simple to do. Once you finish writing a blog post, scroll down until you see the section dedicated to Yoast. Yoast will have four fields available for you to work in to see if the post you’re writing has been optimized for the search engines in the way that you want.

You’ll be able to do with Yoast is enter the target keyword’s of that post. What it’ll do is make sure that the blog post has your target keyword’s used throughout the post. It’ll check to make that they’re used in the title, URL, and in the content of the post itself. If you have your keyword’s in all those places, chances are Google is going to find your post. Yoast also has a box for a Meta description and that’s that little blurb of information that shows up under your website in the search results. Yoast will allow you to create your own Meta description that will then tell the search engines what to show when your post comes up. This gives you a chance to summarize what your post is about, to enter your keywords in that description and to call people into you site. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to optimize your website.
