How to delete my account?

I cant seem to find an option to delete my account...? Please help.

    WF does not delete accts. Until today your acct was not readily visible as you have not posted for FIVE years. The only way to 'close' an acct is to list you as 'banned'. I doubt that's what you want but let me know if that's what you want.

      You realize this is a direct breach of GDPR?

      I'm a citizen of European Union, and thereby have a legal right for my account to be deleted from any platform under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018.

      The GDPR grants EU citizens the "right to be forgotten," also known as the "right to erasure." This means that individuals can request the deletion of their personal data from an organization's records under certain conditions. The conditions include situations where the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or processed, if consent is withdrawn and there is no other legal ground for processing, or if the personal data has been unlawfully processed, among others.

      Therefore I request my account to be deleted immediately, along with all my personal information.

      And frankly, this is preposterous in 2024, that you do not have an option for accounts to be deleted... super, super strange to say the least, and illegal at worst.

    Right of erasure applies - the time required is....

    'without undue delay', and specifically within a month
    Clearly a month is not necessary - I've sent this to Admin and it may be 2-3 days until he's back on the forum to take care of it.


    edit: To be clear, I am not guaranteeing Admin will delete the acct. The forum is hosted in Australia and in the past there was some question about deletions violating Australian law. Admin will let you know. Thanks to Frank for reminding me.
