Warrior Forum is now mobile friendly

Hi everyone,

We have released a mobile version of Warrior Forum which will make it easier for you to browse the forums, create threads and reply to threads on your mobile device.

To access the mobile version, simply visit the forum on your mobile device and you will automatically be displayed the mobile friendly version.

We are still working on improving the mobile experience. This is the first step towards that.

It's fantastic. I do however have 1 quite big issue.

You can no longer see the warrior for hire thread on the home page. It's very hard to find now meaning you have to go into special offers then scroll all the way to the bottom. This cuts my traffic right down.

Anyway you can place sub forums on front page? Or closer to the top on the wso thread?

But overall a big improvement

If we are on mobile, how can we revert back to the default theme?
On my phone this theme is great but on my iPad I'd rather have a full site

We don't have the ability to revert back to default at the moment.
We're testing having this mobile version available for all mobile devices and are analyzing the impact it has for everyone.

I hate it, I want the regular desktop theme on my IPAD. Do not be like Microsoft with Windows 8 ... I don't want a mobile theme on my IPAD.

First, good job with the changes on the forum since the change of ownership. Many of us love some, hate some, but overall, good going,

About the mobile friendly version, I love it on my phone but not so much on tablet. But there's a solution to that and am surprised no one has mentioned the solution.

The solution is simple - the forum doesn't have to do anything to revert back to default, but WE. the users. can - just go to the settings of your mobile browser and select "Desktop view" or "Request Desktop site" and it will display the desktop non-mobile version,

That's what I do when viewing with my tablet. When you want the mobile version, simply un-select the option and it's back to mobile version. Problem solved,

I hate it on my iPad.

There are so many simple and normal options that aren't available. You can't even see the last person who posted to a thread. You can't see inside of people's profiles.

For those of us on "mobile devices" that are large like an iPad, there is no need for mobile only websites. At least give a desktop option.

Definitely a huge improvement. Only issue I've found with the mobile version is the limited ability in the user CP panel... I can't see my sent pm's - only the incoming, aside that, all is good.

How do you access your user CP in this "mobile friendly" version?

I try switch to the traditional view but it doesn't have a user CP link.

All I can access is customize something.

I need to change my password and signature.

I just tried to ask what forum software WF is using. Is this VBulletin? It seems like it may not be VB even though it's a lot like VB. Is it mobile responsive?

I tried to post it in the Help section, but I am not able to make new threads there. Why is that?

I also tried to post about my sig privilege being removed. Can't make any new thread in Help, so I replied about it here: http://www.warriorforum.com/off-topi...l#post11002113.

Can you shed any light of these things for me?

Without going into the details, yes the forum uses vBulletin but the engineering team has now made tons of changes to the core code ever since the forum got acquired by Freelancer.com to add new features, patch vulnerabilites and to run it on aws.

Also your signature should be resolved by now
