Great this increases the value even more of this super exlusive and useful Warrior Forum. Thanks for sorting out the good and best ones from the crowd. I just upgraded as I feel serious work of online marketers should have a save haven for their discussions. I look forward to be more active here now!

I wanted to leave a quick note to say I've joined and paid my fee.
I have had the chance to join, or at least attempt to join a few other forums out there. One that was unfortunately mentioned here without a response when I joined. (I'm not going to mention any locations or forum names for the simple fact that sometimes technology glitches without our control. ;-) )

As to why I'm here instead of somewhere else? I have seen so much here that speaks to the helpful hands found here, along with solid information. I have read a lot and incorporated much into my efforts from here and elsewhere.

It is my hope to promote as much to the communities idea's, fellowship and helpfulness as many of the others have. May we all benefit and succeed when we need it most, and my our helping hands help others find their footings for success as well!

Talk to you all on the inside!

If that's what it takes to stop spam in the forum, so be it. A spam free forum is a very good thing.

Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I've been a member here for a while but have been so busy with my own site and other things that I haven't played around here long enough.

I'll say this much - Digitalpoint has become a disaster consisting of many people trying their hardest to earn a buck by making a big deal spinning simple nonsense. While I hear some wisdom here, I have a very difficult time figuring out who is real and who is totally full of crap. Most here are salespeople and all they can do is puff, puff, puff.

My inclination is not to pay anything until I realize what is really of value above and beyond what I can get anywhere else. There are a lot of forums around. Create my own blog? Create my own group? Does anyone really give a damn about what I have to say here any more than they care about what I might tell people I had for lunch on Twitter?

I haven't given this enough thought. I'm happy to be here and certainly appreciate the problem. But with everyone promising me that the key to unlocking the power of SEO, web site marketing, success online is just $30, I can't say that the average person would be convinced. And if they are, they may feel that the money should justify additional pimping because they paid a premium. Hence you have a similar problem, just a different brand of wine.

-- So I'm curious. Do all members pay extra or only new members? What if we signed up a few years ago? Is it about spam prevention or revenues? Nothing wrong in wanting revenues.

I'll say this much - at least there is owner activity here unlike at DP, where the task of delegation went to moderators with their own personal and business interests. I saw a complete lack of movement when it was apparent illegal activity was going on. I was curious to see that there may have been some friendship or correlation with some moderators who happened to be in the same business, e.g. off-shore web hosting.

WebHostingTalk is free and I've been a member there for a long, long time. Perhaps I'll join the Warrior Forum. I don't think the answer is straight "raise the bar to entry" since there is also the question of perceived value. I'd love to be here just don't know whether time plus money is better spent here than elsewhere. Just giving you my honest opinion to a bunch of guys that I like who seem to be active and appreciate honest, constructive opinions.

I'm still new here, so I'll probably look around for a while and get myself familiar first.
Then I'll decide if upgrading is the right path for me.
But, I do agree that cutting down on spammers is a must.

Hi,
As a new member i didnt prepare myself for the shock of having to pay first. I think it would be a wise thing to allow members one post or so before being prompted to pay.
Thanks

Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status

Hi does joining mean I can PM someone??? That is worth the price of admission right there? I hate going off topic but I also hate posting a new thread for something like gee how do I get the twitter icon in my contact info - that really is a burning question right now. lol.
but i will join right after the first, i am looking forward to this site. I feel like I cut my baby teeth on dp Plenty of tricksters over there.

I am too long winded I know plus I go from A to B by going around C and shooting over to F and then mosey on back to B. I am practicing being more concise and disciplined. The mods scare the hell out of me, I keep waiting for them to throw me out for being just too new and talking too much.

But if I am still here on the 2nd I will join it is very well worth the money. Believe me, have interested moderators is excellent. And I am not sure but there is sooo much experience here, you can't get this kind of education anywhere else.

Plus there is plenty of sadness in the online marketing field, I feel so dreadful when I read a post that someone will do anykind of work for 3 dollars..... they need it in their paypal account by 3pm or something. I feel so compelled to find something for them to do and give them their few dollars. And I appreciate not having to read all that unhappiness here.

I keep my IM investments to four hundred per month but I still got touched all the dang time. And the yahoo chat requests.,... You really have no idea of how difficult it is to conduct business in such a way that you can be proud you did all you could when you have constant requests for work. And the quality sucked, and that was if you got any.

So this place is wonderful, I am happy here. Hopefully I won't piss of the mods too much with my chatty cathy ways.

And the cost is very very cheap for what you get. Anyone who belongs to a membership site should consider what they are paying there EACH month and then the cost here. no comparison.

That is a great alteration to the forum site, as members should be able to get more features only if they upgrade. I am new to the forum, but I still am happy to see this change because I have a blog and I don't like spam.

Thanks Allen, That is exactly what needed to be said, you are still GIVING new members "FREE" access until they are ready and able to purchase a membership. I am one of those New Members, I joined today and can not afford to pay today but when I make my first sale I plan on paying for my Membership out of the Profit. I just hope I can get enough information, from the forum and its members, to help get that first sale. Thanks again Allen for your dedication to your Forum and its Members, The Saddleman,

I just love this question....Just a myriad of answers spring to my lips. But I shall allow myself just one little sentence:

Depends on how much work you are going to put into your business.

(Well I could not help myself....I just had to spring.....)

I think you can start with less money that just about any other business that holds any hope of income, except for painters - they don't need much either, but thats another story.

But really there is so much free information just in the free ebook section. so many references to so much. and youtube has videos for free on just about anything techie you need for building your web sites.

Just jump in. there is a free ebook in there about how to start your empire just look yourself, and find some time to read something then DO ONE THING. Actually DO IT. then read some more and DO THE NEXT THING.

Always do some action for how long it took you to read the book or post or whatever. I've been trying to do that all day. I got bogged down here reading and reading and reading and have not taken care of business.... So I am taking my own advice and using my timer and trying to take actual action multiple times a day.

YES you can make streams of money. 5K a month is not too difficult. Do you live in a big city-fast internet and do you like to read? Read all your newspapers and publications you can so you stay on top of what is going on in the world. That is vitally important or you will be a sheep following the multimillionaires and taking what they leave on the table.

I'll tell you something that interested me. Since you are south of the US border. I raise Chihuahua's and during my search for good keywords I discovered that Mexico has the biggest searches for that keyword. They are looking for information about that area. The dot iz dot nu extensions are still offering free domain registrations and if I knew Spanish I would be right down there registering that domain and then going and watching a few tutes about word press installation and then I would go find some way to provide affiliate links to travel programs and weather info and maybe some banks I don't know what. Why are so many Mexicans traveling to Chihuahua and looking online for the info?? You'll have to figure that out yourself.

There are plenty of wealthy people in Mexico, there is a large upper class who are insulted by Americans and love to be openly wealthy and buy expensive stuff, think designer clothes. Look at how many cell phones are in use, plenty. Just go high end for your travel etc.

So there... offers, programs...what have you....I am not trying to be a know it all cause believe me I'm not. I am just a newbie, but I think I am just figuring out that the above is the easy part.....now doing is where you gotta dig down and DO.

It's just funny because I have been working on an ebook for a WSO, and I was almost done with it, and BAM.

That's life though. I'll raise the money, and then I will get on with my WSO. In fact, I think this change will help to add value to my ebook. I really put my heart into it.

Thanks for making the forum clean for a well meaning Newbie like myself. I'll spend my time looking at some other resources here, and contributing to the forum some.
I hardly think it was BAM...this was done last year...lol.

I have made my money back multiple times because of the war room, I can't believe everyone wouldn't already be paid! This is really the best thing for warrior forum to do and I am sure some people that are forced into it will be thanking the admin for instituting this soon.

Any serious person looking to start in the internet business, grow their existing business and not be serious enough to spend $20.00 or $30.00 or whatever the cost is should seriously consider going back to their job..
They clearly don't have the mind set to start, grow and operate a business.
Just my two cents worth..
